The Dallas Safari Club and Dallas Safari Club Foundation recently awarded the Sportsmen’s Alliance two grants to assist in the protection and advancement of hunting, fishing and trapping. The two grants bolster the support of the Sportsmen’s Alliance by the Dallas Safari Club entities, which have been strong proponents of the Sportsmen’s Alliance mission since 1989.
“We’re extremely pleased to once again partner with the Dallas Safari Club, and their Foundation,” said Evan Heusinkveld, Sportsmen’s Alliance president and CEO. “Their continual commitment to protecting hunting rights, both at home and abroad, helps ensure sportsmen have a voice when it comes to the future of hunting. We’re extremely thankful for their continued leadership and support.”
The funding will allow the Sportsmen’s Alliance and it’s Foundation to continue educating sportsmen and the general public on the vital role sportsmen play in wildlife conservation, the legal defense of sportsmen in courts and the continual monitoring of state legislatures, as well as defense at state ballot boxes and the expansion of Families Afield legislation, which reduces barriers for new hunters getting afield.
“Dallas Safari Club is proud to support Sportsmen’s Alliance,” said Dallas Safari Club Executive Director, Corey Mason. “Their work to protect and defend our wildlife conservation programs and hunting is to be applauded.”
Started in 1972, the Dallas Safari Club has grown to become an international organization that offers a gathering point for hunters, conservationists and wildlife enthusiasts. Their grant program contributes millions of dollars every year to programs and projects promoting the Dallas Safari Club mission, which is to conserve wildlife and wilderness lands, to educate youth and the general public and to promote and protect the rights and interests of hunters worldwide.
“Dallas Safari Club and their members continually step up to plate for conservation,” said Heusinkveld. “We’re pleased to work with their organization to strengthen the overall hunting community at time when it’s needed most.”
