Legislation that authorizes the Illinois Department of Natural Resources to allow hunting of bobcats is in danger of stalling in the Senate this week. Your help is needed to ensure that Senate Bill 106 will pass! Animal rights activists and anti-hunters are out in full force opposing the bill in a last-ditch effort to derail it.
The companion version of the legislation has already passed House of Representatives. It is absolutely critical that sportsmen in Illinois do not allow the bill to quietly die in the Senate!
Bobcats have made a phenomenal comeback in Illinois, and their populations are large enough to use hunting as a responsible management tool. Don’t allow the anti-hunters to win the day without making your voice heard!
Take Action: Please call your senator today and urge support for responsible wildlife management by voting yes on Senate Bill 106. To find your Senator’s contact information, visit USSA’s Legislative Action Center.
