As recently reported, the nationwide Trailblazer Adventure Day held at all 41 Cabela’s stores on June 8 was deemed a huge success, and now, the numbers are in to prove it! The exciting one day event held June 8, 2013, introduced outdoor sports to 18,500 youth and their families.
The Cabela’s Outdoor Adventure Day featuring the Trailblazer Adventure Program was the second of its kind after a successful first event in 2012. Last year, over 10,000 individuals participated with this year’s event almost doubling the number of youth and their families who attended.
“It’s very rewarding to see this many people being involved in outdoor sports, many for the first time,” said Doug Jeanneret, vice president of marketing for the U.S. Sportsmen’s Alliance Foundation. “We really appreciate our great partners at Cabela’s for letting us be part of this event.”
The 18,500 participants were introduced to varying activities from store to store, with most including gaining hands on experience with shooting sports, and also with activities ranging from trapping, taxidermy, sporting dogs, falconry demonstrations, exposure with different local and national conservation groups and more.
