The USSA is taking full advantage of the “explosion” in social media by giving sportsmen and women numerous ways to stay informed and stay connected regarding the fight to protect our hunting, trapping, and fishing heritage.
In an effort to increase the speed at which we deliver the news to you—and increase your awareness of ongoing issues in states and at the national level – the U.S. Sportsmen’s Alliance has launched a Facebook page www.facebook.com/ussportsmen. We will post up-to-the minute information there on key topics such as H.R. 4089, better known as the Sportsmen’s Heritage Act of 2012, along with challenges to hunting, fishing and trapping that we are tracking. Like us now to stay informed about the issues affecting your outdoor heritage!
We also have a new blog – Protect What’s Right – that provides a glimpse into the inside politics regarding your hunting rights. Several times each week USSA staff members tackle the key issues and weigh in with the facts.
We also now have key staff members who are using Twitter as they work to protect hunting, fishing, trapping and recreational shooting across the country. These tweets will let you know when USSA staff are walking the halls and making the rounds in state capitals from coast to coast on your behalf. We will also let you know when votes are held and what the outcome is, like the recent California hunting with hound controversy. Follow us at @ussportsmen.
Additionally, we hope you like our new website, the Sportsmen’s Daily www.sportsmensalliance.org, and take advantage of these other ways to connect with us.
