The Sportsmen’s Alliance Foundation will host a free fishing day for families on June 16 at Big Walnut Conservation Club from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. The problem? Not enough volunteers to help newcomers bait hooks, cast successfully and handle fish. We need help your help!
Passing on your passion of hunting, fishing and trapping is the only way the sportsmen’s life will continue in this hyper-connected world, and our free Heritage Fishing Day event is the perfect and easiest way to pass on your knowledge and help successfully introduce fishing to a child and their family. It will cost you nothing but a few hours of your time.
Our Heritage Fishing Day takes place at the Sunbury Above Ground Reservoir on the corner of Sedgwick Avenue and Otis Street in Sunbury, Ohio. Volunteers would need to be there before 8 a.m. and ideally stay until the event ends after noon.
Volunteers willing to donate a few hours’ time should contact Sportsmen’s Alliance Director of Education, Frank Price, at firstname.lastname@example.org or call/text 614-266-7305.
